FIVE FRIGHTENING FACTS ABOUT WOKE FOLK

Americans desperately need to understand what Woke folk, whether knowingly are unknowingly, are all about. A strikingly accurate description of those who identify with the woke movement, that is rapidly deChristianizing and depriving America of the foundational principles upon our survival depends, is found in Proverbs 30:11-14:

I.          WOKE FOLK ARE DISRESPECTFUL:

“There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.”

—v. 11

My father used to say, "People who don't respect their parents can't be expected to respect anything." He was right.  Woke people demonstrably respect nothing: not people, not property, not life, law or the Lord God Almighty.

II.        WOKE FOLK ARE DELUSIONAL:

“There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes.”

—v. 12a

Woke folk are delusional in terms of their sense of virtue. For them abortion, euthanasia, sex change operations, transgender surgeries for children and the obliteration of parental rights, etc. are virtuous acts, while things like humility, honesty, charity, courage, purity and patriotism are meaningless concepts. They "put no difference between the holy and profane," or "difference between the unclean and the clean.” They “call evil good, and good evil” (Ezek. 22:26; Isa. 5:20).

III.       WOKE FOLK ARE DEFILED

“This is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness”

—v. 12b

Woke folk are dirty in their thinking and doing. They reject the reality of Truth, replacing this with their own version of “truth” applied on a situation-to-situation basis. They are inclined towards the scatological and perverted. They defile, like flies, rats and roaches through influence and/or action, whatever they touch, be it a nation's lifestyle, its legacy, language. etc., etc. They descend mentally and morally into a state or wickedness, iniquity, evil, abomination and reprobation (Gen. 6:5; Rom. 1:18-32).

IV.       WOKE FOLK ARE DISDAINFUL

“There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.”

—v. 13

Woke folk are those about whom it may rightly be said, “O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up” (v. 13). They are full of pride, the “abomination to the Lord,” that turned an angel into Satan, and tops the list of everything God hates  (Prov. 17;16:5; Isa. 14:12-15; Prov. 6:16). Their pride gives woke folk a ridiculously lofty opinion of themselves and an unlimited sense of entitlement. They are impervious to facts and logic and unteachable. They are what George Orwell called “A generation of the unteachable, hanging upon us like a necklace of corpses.”

V.        WOKE FOLK ARE DANGEROUS

“There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

—v. 14

There seems to be nothing too cruel or inconceivably heinous that people entrenched in the woke mindset are not capable of doing. It involves an intoxicating, insatiable, irrepressible desire for power and control over others. Its association with treachery, suppression and tyranny and its merciless and murderous character is being manifested more and more publicly every day. Wokeness embodies the spirit of antichrist that has always driven those who have "feared not God, neither regarded man" (1 John 2:18; 4:3' 2 Thess. 2:4; Luke 18:2).

CONCLUSION

Those identified with or subjected to the woke movement need to understand that although it mirrors Marxism and Nazism Ideologically and politically, it is much more than a philosophical or political ideology; it is the worst form of a vile, violent religious cult. Spiritually, it is nothing less than demonic. It is a national nightmare in the making, the nature of which can only be overcome by people who will stand for and speak Truth (Eph. 6:11-18); people who are spiritually prepared to pray and fast, because "this kind" of evil that drives Woke folk, "goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting" (Matt.17:21).
