PERHAPS

Mark twain put into print what most Americans knew then and definitely know now, when he wrote, “No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session . . . There is no distinctly native American criminal class save Congress.” This is and will continue to be true as long as there are Democrats, and Republicans who side with them, in government.

Democrats are being exposed more and more every day for the crooks and fiends that they are. The Republicans are behaving themselves now, and acting for the most part in the interests of the people, but only because the circumstances of the last election have compelled them to do so. Before, not all but most of them put their own self interest above those of the people. They watched and aided and abetted criminal Democrats for decades, knowing about much if not most of the fraud and corruption in government that is now being exposed, but staying silently and idly by while it became worse and worse.

Perhaps enough Americans have had their eyes opened to who the enemies of the people are in America, and where our danger lies. Perhaps we have by the grace of God been given a “little space” (Ezra 9:8) for repentance, reform and revival. Perhaps there is some human instrumentality that God will use in order to bring this about. AT any rate, “ now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Rom. 13:11)
