UNDERSTANDING WHY

A friend comments below on his concern that “”people are ok with corrupt government.” The answer to this involves a much bigger, broader and deeper concern. That is, the fact that our government, all our institutions and probably at least half of the general public have colluded together to “call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isa. 5:20).

An inconvenient, but indefensible truth: At the political level, the Democratic Party has become, in precept and practices, the Communist Party of America, and in the interest of full disclosure, should rename itself as such. It subscribes to an “America Last,” — preferably “America not at all” — agenda. Its platform, almost identical to the Communist Manifesto, is a reflection of everything God hates and abominates. It is the pro-infanticide (aka abortion), pro-child-sexual-mutilation (aka Gender Reassignment Surgery), and pro-sexual perversion party. It is the pro-woke, pro-crime, pro-deceit and pro- death-to-America party. All this has been put on display and flaunted by Democrats, and aided and abetted by “Republicans in-name-only” as never before during the last four years.

None of the above has been the result of “political incompetence,” the failure of a party to “stay in touch with constituents,” or because the Democratic Party somehow “lost its way,” etc. Don’t be fooled—no matter how many times you hear these lines regurgitated on radio and television. This has been the cold and deliberate work of atheistic, Marxist-minded people determined to overthrow our Constitutional Republic, and who know how to use those they consider “useful idiots” among the political class and the voting public. (Time to take a dictionary in hand and revisit the meaning of “treason” and “traitor”).

The apparent attempts by our government at national suicide — or homicide depending on how informed and honest a person is willing to be — are incomprehensible. The degenerate thinking and behavior that has made a rotting mess of our society is incomprehensible. Incomprehensible, that is, to everyone except those who can recognize the reality of evil—evil that can take such hold of people that it makes them, “call evil good, and good evil,” and ‘put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isa. 5:20). See Rom. 1:32.

Even saved people, unsaturated in the Word of God (Ps. 119:11; Eph. 6:17) and unseparated from the world (1 John 2:15-17; Rom. 12:1, 2) can, to one degree or another, become “carnally minded”(1 Cor. 3:1; Rom. 8:60), and consequently more vulnerable to the “temptation,” “wiles” and “devises” of the devil (Matt. 6:13; 2 Cor. 2:11;  Eph. 6:11). Christians need reminding that we live now in what the Bible calls “this present evil world “ (Gal. 1:4). We are in this world presently, but we are not of it (Phil. 3:20). Jesus said, “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:15-17).”

We have been forewarned and forearmed. We live in an atmosphere permeated by, enshrouded in, and pulsating with evil. We are pilgrims passing through here entrusted with the work of bearing witness to others of Christ and His Gospel (Heb. 11:13:14; Acts 1:8). We must stay reminded as to who we are, where we are and why we are here.
